Exchange Programs

There’s nothing like being thrown into the deep end and not being taught how to swim. Exchange programs offer a variety of benefits for young people in both an academic and personal sense. To immerse oneself in a culture different than our own has both short and long term benefits that will help you reach your full potential.

YES Canada programs are designed as a learning experience that focuses on cultural and language exploration.


Indigeneous Youth Work Exchange Program is a summer program run through the Ontario government that allows Indigenous youth to gain experience and skills in natural resource management.


EF Student Exchange Programs run most of WDHS overnight trips. However, they also run an exchange program.


Summer Work Student Exchange Program for those aged 16 and 17 the YMCA offers a national exchange program that brings youth across Canada together.


Youth Exchanges Canada offers a variety of group and individual exchange programs through Heritage Canada.
