Empowering Breakfasts 2025

Sir Allan MacNab Breakfast

We held our 3rd Empowering Breakfasts at Sir Allan MacNab in May. Yanique Brandford from Help a Girl Out, an anti-poverty organization working to eliminate period poverty, came in as a guest speaker. She broke the stigma around periods by educating attendees on what menstruation really is and how males can support their sisters, girlfriends, moms, and others going through their cycle. Our HEART team led a trivia on body positivity.

Thank you to Rotary Club of Waterdown PM for helping us put on this event!

WDHS Breakfast

We held our 4th Empowering Breakfasts at WDHS in May. Brittany Krystantos, mental health speaker and best-selling author, came in as a guest speaker. She shared messages of self-love and mental wellness techniques, in order to build a healthy relationship with ourselves, which is an important part of taking care of our mental wellness. The Drama Class put on an engaging show about different ways of supporting friends going through mental health struggles. Attendees shared positive affirmations to end the breakfast!

Thank you to Rotary Club of Waterdown PM for helping us put on this event!
