Empowering Breakfasts 2024

Sir Allan MacNab Breakfast

We held our 2nd Empowering Breakfasts at Sir Allan MacNab in May. Brittany Krystantos, mental health speaker and best-selling author, came in as a guest speaker. She shared messages of self-love in order to build a healthy relationship with ourselves, which is an important part of taking care of our mental wellness. Our HEART team led a trivia on green flags and red flags in relationships, both romantic and friendships.

Thank you to Sir Allan MacNab, Rotary Hamilton, and Rotary Ancaster for helping us put on this event!

WDHS Breakfast

We held our 3rd Empowering Breakfasts at WDHS in May. Chris and Bryan from Halton Women’s Place came in to speak about healthy masculinity and breaking gender stereotypes. Joelle Kabisoso, founder of Sisters in Sync, shared her experience with gender-based violence, sending home the message that there should never be a next time. The Drama Club put on an engaging show about bystander intervention.
