Wear Purple Day
Show your support to end gender-based violence and Be More Than A Bystander by wearing purple and opening up the table for conversations.
Why Wear Purple?

Valentine’s Day (Sir Allan MacNab)
At Sir Allan MacNab we held cookie decorating with conversations about healthy relationship signs, whether it’s with a romantic partner or friends.

Ti-Cats Visit
Through MentorAction, WDHS and MacNab had a visit from the Ti-Cats to spread the word about Be More Than a Bystander. During the visit, Ti-Cat Kwaku Boateng (joined by MacNab alum, Tyler Ternowski at MacNab!), shared ways to be an ally in preventing gender-based violence.
Why sports team representatives? Engaging organized sports teams to mentor youth provides a platform to challenge patriarchy and create a venue for transformational conversations between athletes and youth that challenge harmful and rigid gender roles and expectations.”
